Preferences allow users customizing their HiFile experience. The customization items are split to 3 pages:

  • General - deals with the basic functions of HiFile
  • Appearance - determines how HiFile looks and feels
  • Advanced - you will need to touch these just rarely; mostly for advanced users who know what they are doing
You can also use text search to quickly navigate to the item you are looking for.

General

Archives

Select which archive formats will be treated as archives in HiFile. Archives can be opened as normal folders or can be extracted from or compressed to.

Images

Select which image formats will be treated as images in HiFile. Images can be displayed as thumbnails Shift+F3 or can be displayed in the Image Viewer F3.

Appearance

Advanced
